Less Stress. More Ease.
Happy Sunday, friends!
It's been a bit of a rough weekend around these parts. We had a gas leak in our house on Friday morning which resulted in the gas being shut off to our home, a.k.a. no heat and no hot water in single digit and negative degree weather. Truthfully it was more stressful + inconvenient than anything else. We worked with a plumbing company who stayed late on Friday and came back again Saturday morning, so when it was all said and done it was only 36 or so hours. We had at least 6 different space heaters keeping temps above 50 degrees. And we still had a roof over our heads, plenty of blankies and clothes to put on and keep us warm. And the option to spend the afternoon at the library where there IS heat. Which we totally did. Except for J who had to stay with the plumbers.
But those interruptions to our normal schedule, definitely had me feeling more stress and less ease. Which is pretty much the exact opposite of how I choose to feel.
I don’t know about you but I like to ease out of the weekend and into the week. And the best way I can think of to do that is with mindfulness + movement layered in with my favorite relaxing essential oils and an intention for the week.
